Celebrate Home Fermentation Day This Saturday, 1st August!

Whether you love the gentle bubbling of an airlock, the satisfying crunch of a gherkin, or the creamy tartness of freshly set yoghurt, Saturday 1st August is a day made just for us: Home Fermentation Day!
Originally started in 2002 this global celebration to honour fermentation in all its living forms is a dedicated day to get into the kitchen, roll up your sleeves, and harness the magic of beneficial microbes—transforming simple, raw ingredients into something delicious, probiotic, and deeply rewarding.

What Are You Fermenting This Weekend?
To celebrate, we’re inviting all home fermenters—from absolute beginners to seasoned pros—to start a new project or raise a glass (or jar!) to the craft.
