Description
‘Steam Beer’, (also known as California Common) originated from San Francisco, and has two main components that define it. The first is the use of lager yeast fermented at ale temperatures. And the second is the use of Northern Brewer hops. These two components lend that slightly fruity note from the yeast and firm, rustic bitterness from the hops.
Includes: extract, grain, hops and yeast. Brewing of these recipes requires the use of a minimum 12 litre pot, thermometer, grain steeping bag and hop bag.
Fermentation Temperature Range: 16 to 20°C
