Our locally sourced Pale Malt has a very low Lovibond range, which makes this malt an excellent choice for continental European lager styles, as well as ales, looking to achieve a pale gold colour. This malt is also great for imparting the Lager style flavours and aromas that define the popular beer style.

Pale Malt is the most common of the base malts used in beer. It is often referred “two row” malt. This can be a little confusing to new brewers as basically all the malt they will be using is a type of two row malt. Just know that if a recipe calls for “two row malt”, they are referring to Pale Malt.
